You get golf range netting, on-course safety nets, simulator impact screens and steel poles, designed, made and installed by one company for your golf course, driving range or indoor golf venue. West Coast Netting is a family-owned netting manufacturer in Kingman, Arizona, with a second site, its Net House, in Cocoa, Florida, and serves customers across the United States.

Range and course netting made and installed for you

For golf netting and ball-stop fencing, you can have range netting, course boundary panels and on-course safety nets designed, made and installed for a new course, a remodel, a retrofit or a repair. Its golf course netting is polyester, which the company says stretches less than nylon and holds up better to UV. Range netting comes in treated knotted polyester with 1 1/4 inch or 1 3/4 inch mesh, in clear, dyed black, raw white and other colors. Stock items listed online include Knotted #18 netting with 1 inch mesh (K18-1″), Woven #252 and #420 netting, a clear-coated dyed black #420, and two driving nets, the GDN-10 at 8 by 10 feet and the GDN-12 at 10 by 12 feet.

Published specifications include the WCN K36T, a #36 knotted polyester net with 1 3/4 inch square mesh, 2.06 mm twine, 88% open area and a 252 lb tensile rating, plus a #18 knotted Dyneema net and the TBB36 tie-back backstop system. Before you order, a trajectory calculator on its site helps estimate the net height and coverage you need, a step covered in our driving range equipment checklist.

Simulator screens, impact nets and cages for indoor golf

For golf simulators and indoor golf, you can buy heavier reinforced impact netting meant for strikes from about 6 to 15 feet, plus custom-sized impact panels, secondary safety nets and enclosure panels. For simulator enclosures and screens it offers the PR-20 impact and standard simulator screen in white or black, the PR-40 high definition screen and a blackout cover. Its driving range equipment range also covers golf cages GC-1 and GC-2 with replacement nets, 3 and 5 foot hitting targets and a 5 by 5 foot turf mat.

Installation crews, repair hardware and shipping

Three Kingman crews install nationwide and the Florida crew covers the East Coast. For DIY hanging and repair you can buy galvanized and stainless hardware, including aircraft cable, 3/8 to 3/4 inch turnbuckles, netting trolleys, strut track and lacing twine. Most U.S. orders ship free, the company says.

How the company builds your netting

The company says it has made netting since 1951, and it also nets baseball stadiums, hockey arenas, amusement parks and industrial and military sites. The Kingman plant covers 75,000 sq. ft. on 10 acres and runs four netting machines for woven and knotted net, a dye vat, UV and abrasion treatment tanks and 38 sewing machines. A licensed structural engineer is on staff, and certified welders build the steel poles in its own pole yard. Local cranes and drilling contractors are hired when a job needs them.
