Privacy and cookies

This notice explains how Find Golf Suppliers handles information when you browse the site, contact us, sign up for the newsletter or use directory services.

Who is responsible

Find Golf Suppliers is operated by Watts Digital Consulting Ltd, company number 14574775, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: #3042 275 New North Road, London, England, N1 7AA. Watts Digital Consulting Ltd is the controller of personal information used to run this website. For a privacy question or request, use our contact form and mark your message “Privacy”.

Messages

The contact form collects your name, email address, business details and message, plus the submission time, page address, IP address and browser information. Entries are stored in the website’s database and a copy is emailed to our mailbox so we can reply. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive information.

Directory accounts and requests

If you create an account or ask us to add, claim, correct or remove a listing, we process the account details, listing details, evidence and messages you supply. Account and moderation records are stored in WordPress. Information intended for a public listing may be published after review; private contact details, claim evidence and ownership records are not shown publicly. Public business facts may also come from the business’s own website. A named business contact can ask us to correct or remove personal information.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the monthly roundup, we keep your email address, the date you signed up and confirmed, and your consent. We send a confirmation email first and only start sending the roundup once you confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops further issues.

Payments

If you buy Premium or an extra, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, billing details and payment status, but not your full card number. Orders, subscriptions and VAT receipts are kept in WooCommerce for our accounting and tax records.

Why we use information

We use inquiries to reply and keep a record of the matter, and directory information to publish accurate listings, review changes and prevent false claims. These activities are in our legitimate interests in running the directory and answering requests. Account and payment information is needed to provide the services you ask for, and some records must be kept by law. A contact inquiry is not a newsletter subscription.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page use, visits and device and browser patterns. Analytics is on when you first visit. Choose “Reject analytics” in the cookie notice to turn it off, or use “Manage cookies” at the foot of any page to change your choice later. The site stores your cookie choice, and Google Analytics uses browser identifiers such as _ga cookies when enabled. Account, basket and security cookies support functions you choose to use. The analytics setup sends page paths rather than URL query strings, and Google Signals and advertising personalization are switched off.

Service providers

The website uses managed hosting administered through xCloud, Cloudflare for web delivery and security, Emailit to send emails, Google Workspace for our mailbox, Google for Analytics and Stripe for payments. These providers operate internationally, so processing may take place outside the UK, including in Europe and the United States.

Storage and your rights

Form entries are kept until they are no longer needed to deal with the matter. Account, listing and payment records are kept with the corresponding website records and for as long as the law requires. Depending on the circumstances you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, or object to how we use it, including the publication of personal information in a business listing, using the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
