Huxley Golf gives you all-weather synthetic surfaces that keep your practice areas in use through wet weather, winter and heavy footfall. From its base in Hampshire, England, it supplies golf course practice tees, range mats and tee lines, synthetic putting greens, short game areas, pathways, practice nets and driving range target greens. The company says its tee surface is in use at St Andrews Links, Wentworth Club and The National Golf Centre, and it states that it is accredited by the EGU and GUW.

Tee surfaces your crew can move and maintain

Premier Tee Turf 2 is the main tee product, and it lets your golfers hit both irons and woods while pushing a standard tee peg into the pile. You can order it in 6ft or 12ft widths in lengths to suit, as a full or partial tee line. Because the mats can be rotated, you can spread wear across the surface or lift them to work on the ground beneath. The system needs no infill and is described as free-draining, and you can join it to Huxley putting or chipping surfaces in one layout.

From turf machinery to synthetic surfaces

Edward Huxley founded the business in 1946 in Staines, Middlesex, first selling horticultural machinery and later grass-cutting and turf maintenance machinery for golf courses and sports grounds. In 1975 it brought the Cushman Turf Care System to the UK and Ireland, selling more than 1,000 units to golf courses, and its machinery customers included St Andrews Links, Carnoustie Links and the All England Lawn Tennis Club. In the early 2000s it moved from machinery into all-weather golf surfaces, and since 2020 it has been owned by an Employee Ownership Trust.
