Grasshopper Buggies supplies new and refurbished single-seat electric golf carts in the UK, with parts, servicing and fleet leasing for the Grasshopper range. If your club, pro shop or members run Classic, Cobra, Junior or the new GH25, you can buy replacement controllers, motors, axles and lithium batteries from one source, and the company says its UK team specializes in Grasshopper single-seat models. It trades as a division of Golf Trolley Repairs U.K. Ltd. You will find it among golf carts and utility vehicles and golf cart dealers in the United Kingdom.
The GH25 single-seat golf cart
You get a cart that one golfer can transport, since the GH25 has a folding steering column, weighs about 46 kg and folds to roughly 500 mm high. It runs on a 24V Dynamic Controls system with an integral motor and gearbox transaxle, electromagnetic brake, full suspension and rear stabilizer wheels. Top speed is up to 15 km/h with an adjustable speed limiter. The 3-inch display shows speed, distance, temperature, battery voltage and charge left, and there are USB ports, LED lights and rear indicators. It comes in British Racing Green, Light Metallic Blue, Metallic Red and Black, carries a two-year limited warranty, and the shop lists it from £2,496.48 plus VAT with a typical lead time of about eight weeks.
Fleet leasing for golf clubs
You can put single-seat carts in front of members and visitors without buying a fleet outright. Fleet leasing starts at two GH25 carts, runs for two or three years, and works on an agreed initial payment followed by a fixed monthly payment plus VAT, with each proposal priced individually. Routine maintenance and annual servicing are included, and the fleet battery is specified for frequent use and repeated charging. Parts, batteries and servicing
You can keep older Grasshoppers running with parts priced online, including Curtis 1212S-2601, 1225-2702 and 1228-2608 controllers, a 24V motor for 2012-onward carts, a rear axle and gearbox, and a Classic, Cobra and Junior dashboard. For batteries and charging, it sells 24V LiFePO4 packs at 36Ah and 42Ah, a 36V 50Ah pack and a 24V charger. A standard service costs £369 plus VAT and covers electrical and mechanical checks, with axles cleaned and greased; call-outs are charged at 50p per mile. Refurbished carts such as a Senior Pro at £1,998 come with a one-year warranty, and the optional lithium upgrade adds a five-year battery warranty.
