If you run a pro shop in the UK or Ireland, PowaKaddy gives you a push cart brand that the company says it sells there only through golf professionals and specialist custom golf outlets. You can stock its electric push carts (which it calls trolleys), manual push carts, cart bags and accessories, all designed at its headquarters in Sittingbourne, England. It is listed with other push cart and electric trolley makers, in golf carts and utility vehicles and among United Kingdom golf suppliers.

Electric push carts at three price points

In the FX series, the entry FX1 has a rotary speed dial and a single LED indicator. The FX3 adds a 2.3 inch color screen showing speed and battery level, and can be ordered with a self-sensing electronic braking system that slows the cart on steep slopes. The flagship FX5 has a 2.8 inch screen and an automatic distance function that sends the cart ahead 15, 30 or 45 yards. All three use a 30V 230W motor and weigh 9.5 to 9.8 kg without the battery.

Compact and GPS models for golfers short on space

For customers with small car trunks, the CT series folds in two steps to 510 by 425 by 375 mm, which PowaKaddy says is 35% smaller than its nearest competitor. The CT6 GPS adds built-in GPS preloaded with over 40,000 courses on a 2.8 inch touchscreen, and the CT8 GPS moves to a 3.5 inch touchscreen with green and hazard views, scoring and a Bluetooth app. The company states the GPS carries no annual fees or subscriptions. The RX range adds remote GPS models, and manual push carts come in three styles.

Batteries, bags and warranty cover

Every electric model runs on the Plug ‘n’ Play 30V lithium battery, sold in Standard, Extended and XL Plus sizes, which can stay fitted when the cart is folded. You get a 2 year warranty on each cart and, in the UK, a 5 year pro rata warranty on the battery. Cart bags come in four ranges and 16 color combinations, and the MAG-LOK magnet holds them on any PowaKaddy electric cart sold from 1 March 2023 without a lower strap. Add-ons include winter wheels, a seat, travel covers and a double canopy umbrella.

Track record PowaKaddy cites

The company points to 40 years of product development and says it is the best-selling brand in over 50 countries. It says it introduced the first three-fold trolley and the first cart bag, and that it was the first golf trolley brand awarded a Quiet Mark by the Noise Abatement Society for low motor noise. For riding carts, see the guide to buying, leasing or renting a golf cart fleet. Other golf suppliers listed here include Motocaddy, Golf Car UK and Powerhouse Golf.
