You get one compact articulated tractor that takes more than 30 interchangeable attachments, so your golf course crew can mow, blow, edge and aerate using the same machine, with demos from local dealers in the United States or Canada. Ventrac is the tractor brand of Venture Products, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer in Orrville, Ohio.

Mowers and attachments you can run on your course

The newest attachment, the MP270 Post Mower, cuts around posts, signs and trees with a 27 inch swinging deck pod, and you set cutting height hydraulically from the seat.

Slope ratings and less turf disturbance

The current platform is the 4520 tractor, and the 45RC variant lets you run it by remote control or with an operator in the seat. The home page says the range is now rated for slopes up to 36 degrees, while the golf page describes the 4500 with dual wheels and all-wheel drive as rated for 30 degree slopes. Large flotation tires limit turf disturbance, and Ventrac credits its FlexFrame, an articulating and oscillating frame, with keeping all four tires on the ground.

Attachment changes and add-ons for your tractor

Your crew can change attachments in under a minute with the Ventrac Mount System, according to the company. A factory-installed PRO upgrade for the 4520 adds a foot pedal, dual auxiliary and third-function hydraulics, a relief valve and a front 12-volt supply, which Ventrac says covers almost every attachment; the MR770 reel mower still needs extra accessories. The ES220 broadcast spreader carries 220 lb of seed or fertilizer, mounts in a standard 2 inch receiver and offers a drop curtain for cart paths.

Who uses Ventrac and where it is made

Its own site lists golf courses alongside landscapers, municipalities, universities, sport facilities and airports among the users it builds for. Design, CNC fabrication, robotic welding, tractor assembly, service and parts warehousing are all based at the Orrville site. The founding Steiner family built farm equipment for almost 25 years before launching Ventrac in 1996, with the first 4000 series articulated tractor following in 1998.
