You get new and pre-owned golf course equipment, service for all brands and seasonal payment options if you are a golf course superintendent, property manager or arena operator. Prairie Turf Equipment is a golf and turf equipment dealership in the Headingley Business Park, on the west side of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and one of the golf suppliers based in Canada.

Equipment and accessories you can buy

You can choose from 20 product lines listed on the company’s website, among them Jacobsen, Cushman, E-Z-GO, Smithco, Ryan, Redexim (Verti Drain), Buffalo Turbine, Lastec, Little Wonder, Classen and Agrimetal. For course accessories you can get Bayco Golf, Golfco, Greens Groomer, Pace Technologies, Pro-Fit and R&R Products, plus Fairway Café beverage cart conversion kits and cooler inserts and Golf-Lift lifting devices for your maintenance shop. The company describes itself as the only dealer in Manitoba dedicated solely to golf and turf.

To clear aeration cores from greens, tee boxes and fairways, the Nordic Plow Core Solution is kept in stock and shipped anywhere in Canada.

Fleet golf cars for Manitoba and northwestern Ontario

This is your authorized E-Z-GO fleet golf car dealer for Manitoba and northwestern Ontario, with gas, lithium electric and custom-outfitted vehicles in new and used stock. It is among the golf cart dealers and suppliers of golf carts and utility vehicles listed here.

Used machines you can buy or demo

You can buy late model, low hour used turf equipment of any brand, which is much of the business. Inventory is sorted into aerators, bunker rakes, fairway mowers, greens and tee mowers, walking greens mowers, greens rollers, trim and rotary mowers, turf sprayers, utility vehicles, golf cars and spare reels and attachments. You can use its Equipment Locator service and request a demo. The company says it sources machines through other dealers across North America, banks and leasing companies.

For your arena, it sells and services pre-owned ice resurfacers in winter, from makers such as Zamboni and Olympia.

Service for any brand you own

You can have any brand mechanically serviced at the Headingley facility, and technicians can also carry out on-site repairs and reel grinding, with pickup and delivery available. The 6,500 square foot facility was built in a 2017/18 expansion on nearly 2 acres of yard.

Payments that fit your season

If your course earns most of its revenue in summer, payments can be set seasonally, semi-annually or annually. Financing is arranged online through CWB National Leasing, and the dealer is usually told funds are on the way within 48 hours of approval. To weigh used against new or leased machines, read the guide on how to buy golf course machinery.

Shipping beyond Manitoba

If you buy from overseas, it arranges ocean or air freight. It says it has shipped machinery to all 50 US states, 13 Canadian provinces and territories and 46 countries.

Other turf equipment suppliers listed here include Reesink Turfcare, Redexim UK, SISIS and Invicta Groundcare.
