How the company started

Charles Revels and Wayne Stone started Stone and Revels Repair Service in 1961, selling and repairing chain saws and lawn mowers. Charles, who bought out his partner, incorporated it as Revels Tractor Co. Inc. in 1968. When John Deere set up a golf and turf division in 1986, Revels became one of its main distributors. A Myrtle Beach location opened in the 1990s. After a November 2007 merger of its North Carolina agriculture and landscape equipment business with Quality Equipment, LLC, it took the name Revels Turf & Tractor.
