Golf Studio Design is a simulator studio company in Humberston, near Grimsby in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. It plans, builds and fits indoor golf studios using only TrackMan launch monitors, with its own in-house team handling the work from first drawings to handover. Its customers include golf clubs, commercial center owners, fitting studios and private homeowners, which places it among golf simulator and indoor golf suppliers as well as simulator installers and fit-out firms.

TrackMan systems and studio equipment

The company offers TrackMan 4, which its home page lists from £14,995 excluding VAT, and the ceiling-mounted TrackMan iO, which needs no extra lighting and no set distance in front of or behind the ball. It also promotes TrackMan Range for driving range owners. Studio fit-out items it lists include hitting mats, putting turf and contract flooring, bespoke impact screens, display and lighting packages, video capture, an IT suite, workstation builds, full vinyl wall coverings and branding or signage.

Design, consultancy and installation process

Each job starts with a consultation and site visit, where the team takes measurements, agrees a brief and then produces provisional drawings and an itemized quote. Clients deal with one point of contact, and installation is carried out by the company’s own specialist tradesmen. Projects finish with commissioning of all studio software and an on-site training session for staff or owners. A separate consultancy service reviews studio plans before building starts; the company says oversized ceiling heights are a common fault it sees, adding build cost and later heating bills. For homes it asks for a room at least 5m deep with height to swing a driver, and it also fits garden cabins and outbuildings.

Golf club and commercial projects

At Chesterfield Golf Club it turned a little-used snooker room into a two-bay TrackMan 4 studio for member lessons and simulator hire, with Optoma laser projectors, a 4.5m wide 16:10 dual-layer impact screen, TrackMan OERT LED lighting, nylon hitting mats, custom branding and air conditioning. The club team first tried the two-bay demonstration studio at the company’s own offices. For Ping’s Performance Research Centre at Loughborough University it installed a 7m wide impact screen, its largest to date, alongside a custom aluminum lighting rig, a Vicon high-speed capture system, a 20 ft Zen GreenStage moving floor and Ping-branded wall protection. It also lists corporate offices, hotels and commercial golf simulator centers as settings it designs for. Venue owners comparing options can read the commercial golf simulator buying guide.

Other simulator suppliers listed here include Golf Swing Systems, InSwing Golf and Golf Tech Systems.
