Fiberbuilt Golf sells you commercial hitting mats, range tee lines and putting greens built around its own bristle hitting surface, and lets you pick from four surface series for the line or mat you buy. The company says more than 5,000 ranges and practice facilities around the world use its products. It began in 1995 inside Fiberbuilt Manufacturing, a family brush maker in Calgary, so it is listed among golf suppliers in Canada, and its main headquarters are now in Aberdeen, North Carolina.
Tee lines and hitting surfaces for your range
If you run a range, you can fit out a hitting line with range mats and tee lines on a modular rubber base, choosing the surface for each line:
- Fiberbuilt Grass Series, the original bristle strip, which holds the ball up so players can hit down and through as on turf; the company says this spares joints the “turf shock” of traditional mats
- Performance Turf Series, a single surface for both stance and hitting, sold as tee lines and mats
- Player Preferred Series, a high end composite aimed at better players, teachers and club fitters, offered in Studio Mats and Combo Mats
- VeroTurf, a tee line surface laid out in defined stall spacing and the lowest priced of its tee line options
The company says no other maker offers several hitting surface choices across every mat and tee line type. Tee boxes are sold too, with the Performance Turf Series rectangle tee box listed from $749. For the rest of a range fit-out, see the driving range equipment checklist and other makers of driving range equipment.
Mats for teaching studios and simulator bays
For a teaching studio or simulator bay, Studio Mats come in single-hitting layouts and in center- and double-hitting versions that let right- and left-handed players share one mat. Combo Mats join a Studio Mat to a putting green so you can practice every club in one space. Published prices include $1,249 for a 7 by 4 foot Fiberbuilt Grass Series Studio Mat, $1,299 for the Player Preferred version and $3,300 for a 10 by 10 foot center-hitting Combo Mat system. It is listed under simulator hitting mats and flooring and golf simulators and indoor golf.
Custom sizes, shipping and home mats
If a standard size does not fit your bay or tee line, its design team will build mats or tee lines to the dimensions and layout you specify. The online store offers free shipping on all purchases and highlights its warranty. Since 2018 it has also sold smaller mats for home use, including the oval Flight Deck and the Practice Station, which has holes and grooves for alignment rods, both sold direct on its site and through online retail partners.
Other golf suppliers listed here include Golf Sim Kit, Huck Nets (UK) and Golf Swing Systems.
