Golf Ventures

If you look after a golf course, sports turf or lawn and landscape work, you can buy fertilizers, chemicals and course accessories from a single distributor and manage your account online. Golf Ventures is a turf maintenance supply distributor in Lakeland, Florida.

Its website arranges the catalog for golf course superintendents, sports turf managers and lawn and landscape contractors. It appears in our listings for fertilizer, seed and sod, maintenance tools and supplies and golf course equipment and maintenance, among other golf suppliers in the United States.

Turf products you can order for your course

The golf catalog covers liquid, granular and soluble fertilizers, aerification amendments and tree products. Chemical lines include pre-emergent and other herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators and plant stimulants. Other sections give you:

• spray aids such as adjuvants, pH buffers, defoamers, tank cleaners, dyes, pigments and drift control
• wetting agents and penetrants
• topdressing, bunker sand, divot mixes and aggregate
• paspalum seed
• tee, green, bunker, practice area and course marking accessories
• personal protective equipment, signs, drag mats, grinders and lubricants

Brands you can buy

The company names Sunniland Fertilizers, Earthworks, Brandt, Performance Nutrition, LifeSoils, Control Solutions, Par Aide, Standard and Grigg Brothers among the lines it distributes. For golf courses and athletic fields in Florida and the Caribbean, it says it is the distributor of COMAND, a LifeSoils organic compost topdressing. To flush sodium from the root zone, it promotes KaPre ExAlt from Performance Nutrition.

Supply in the Caribbean and Central America

Your golf, turf, commercial landscape or resort operation in the Caribbean or Central America gets a separate division, Golf Ventures International. It quotes a range of more than 4,500 products, including over 2,000 course accessories such as flagsticks, tee markers and cups, plus Weedoo aquatic workboats and weed harvesters and used turf equipment. See our guide on buying golf course machinery new, used or leased. The company prepares the export paperwork for you, and orders ship FOB through your freight forwarder unless other terms are agreed.

Ordering and agronomy support you can use

An online portal lets you view and pay open invoices, check order and payment history and store payment methods. The site also has a territory manager lookup, a credit application and a soil test request. Seasonal buying runs through an Early Order Program, and the resources section gives you greens, fairway, tee, bunker and sports turf programs alongside an agronomic calendar.

The team you would work with

According to the company, its team has about 200 years of combined agronomic experience, and it holds regional seminars for turf professionals that often feature researchers and chemical company representatives. Its about page lists ties to Florida chapters of the GCSAA. Golf Ventures was founded in 1986.
