Power Tee sells you automatic teeing systems that place a fresh ball on the tee after every shot, so your golfers keep hitting instead of stopping to re-tee by hand. It supplies driving range equipment to ranges, golf and country clubs, entertainment centers, instructors and municipal facilities, from offices in Jacksonville, Florida and Swindon, England. The company says ranges using it sell 30% more balls, and it lists installations at St Andrews, The Belfry, Celtic Manor Resort and Dromoland Castle.

What you can put in each hitting bay

You can set the height the unit tees the ball to, or let golfers hit straight from the artificial surface, and the units also work on grass tee lines. Two hitting surfaces are offered with the system. The fiber-built Strike Mat plays like semi-rough and the cushioned Standing Mat like a fairway, the company says, adding that the soft mat eases shock to elbows and wrists. Units are not affected by water or snow, and a decking model with drainage can be built above water level. The company pairs these surfaces with its units in each of your hitting bays.

Warranty, service and installation

• Units are under warranty for the length of your contract, and replacement parts for any module that fails are included so the bay is back in use quickly.
• The company describes a service and replacement parts program with no additional costs.
• Several installation methods are offered, and a full install can often be finished in a single day, so you lose little trading time.

Results published by other ranges

Its UK and US case studies report a 25% rise in TrackMan range usage at Hensol Golf Academy, 25% revenue growth at both GO USA Fun Park and Leatherman Golf Learning Center, and 50% more balls hit by the Kent State University Division I golf team. Other write-ups cover Doncaster Driving Range, Rustington Golf Centre, Laganview Golf Centre in Northern Ireland and Green Harbor Golf Club. The company also says some customers save $25,000 or more a year on turf maintenance and labor after installing it.
