You can have golf simulators planned, supplied and installed for your golf venue, business, institution or home, with the founder guiding you from first room measurements to installation planning. SimCaddy is a business in Halifax, Nova Scotia, serving customers across Canada, and its commercial work is aimed at golf lounges, academies, clubs and entertainment venues.

Simulator equipment you can order

The online store lists 109 products, from single components to complete custom systems, in nine groups: 16 launch monitors, 7 enclosures, 19 projectors, 11 hitting mats and strips, 3 turf and flooring products, 8 wall and ceiling protection items, 15 mounting components, 10 gaming computers and 50 accessories such as cameras, cables and controls. Named lines include:

• The ProTee VX launch monitor, promoted on the homepage at $8,800 CAD with shipping across Canada included, plus two swing cameras while supplies last, under an authorized reseller badge
• The BenQ LK936ST, a 5,100-lumen 4K short-throw laser projector, which the site lists with stock shipping within 1 to 2 business days, a 90-day risk-free trial, a 2-year warranty and free shipping and returns
• SimBooth enclosure kits
• 2 inch foam wall and ceiling panels
• A SimCaddy custom-built simulator PC

Impact screens sized to your room

Enter your room dimensions in the online configurator and it suggests a screen size, material, edge finishing and protection, with instant pricing. You can choose residential, commercial or high-contrast materials, which places SimCaddy among suppliers of enclosures, screens and projectors.

Design drawings to share with your contractors

The custom technical design package gives you drawings to coordinate with contractors before building starts, such as a floor plan with cable routing, a side elevation showing projector throw, launch monitor and tee positions, and a screen wall elevation.

Installation by certified audiovisual technicians

SimCaddy says its installations are carried out by AVIXA CTS-credentialed audiovisual technicians who handle cabling, equipment integration, system configuration and testing, which puts it in the simulator installers and fit-out category. Founder Tom Murray works with each customer directly, through product choice and technical design as well as measuring and installation planning. He holds the AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential and, according to the company, brings more than 15 years of audiovisual experience as a partner with Backman Vidcom in Halifax. His blog covers simulator noise, room space planning and new BenQ projectors such as the AK800ST and AK900ST.

If you are planning several bays, you can compare this approach with the points in the commercial golf simulator buying guide.

Other golf simulator suppliers listed here include Golf Sim Kit, Trackman and Foresight Sports Europe.
