Golf VX sells indoor golf simulators with moving swing plates that tilt the hitting surface to match the lie of each shot, so your players hit from real slopes instead of a flat mat. Its three models, Quantum, T2 and FA, are offered for commercial venues, shared amenity spaces and homes, and it also sells indoor golf franchises under its own name. The business traces back to the T-Up indoor golf brand launched in 2012, renamed Kakao VX in 2017, and it arrived in the United States as Golf VX in 2023, opening a flagship venue in Chicago in 2024.
Three simulator models for different bays
Quantum gives you the most terrain detail. Its 15-axis plate produces over 1 million terrain variations, and multi-surface mats let players hit from fairway, rough and bunker strips. Floor-mounted 4,000 fps sensors read ball and club data, a 436 fps camera records the swing, and the company says it tracks 28+ data points per shot with a 15 ms response time. Players control it from a vertical Q Console and a 9-button Q Pad.
T2 pairs a ceiling-mounted sensor tracking the ball at 3,800 fps with a 4X swing plate for uphill and downhill lies, a 30.5 inch touchscreen console and a 6,000 lumen projector. FA suits lesson and practice bays, combining an auto-tee with a 28 inch console and dual-camera AI swing analysis. All three use the Golf VX course library, which the company puts at 400+ courses including St Andrews Old Course, Pebble Beach Golf Links and Marco Simone.
What commercial operators get
In a busy venue the auto-tee removes waiting between shots, teeing each ball at an adjustable height, and the company says staff need little training. Golf VX handles commercial delivery, setup and a final system check, and its FAQ puts installation at 1 to 3 weeks depending on site readiness and bay count. It recommends bays at least 14.5 ft wide and 18 to 20 ft deep with a 10 ft ceiling. Systems are supplied “as is” unless a service plan applies. Our commercial golf simulator buying guide covers the wider decision.
Golf VX franchise costs
To open a venue, you can choose the Lounge, built around leagues, rentals, events and food and drink, or the Lab, a 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft membership club with self-service entry, automated check-in and minimal staff. The 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document cited for the Lab puts startup investment at $342,233 to $551,739, with a $35,000 initial fee, a 6% royalty, a 2% brand fund and a $600 monthly technology fee, and US military veterans get 20% off the initial fee. Support includes site selection, venue design and simulator discounts. Franchise venues opened in Boston in 2025 and Atlanta in 2026.
