You get an indoor golf simulator designed, built and installed by its maker, for your home, indoor golf center, country club, pro shop or sports bar. That maker is aboutGOLF, in Maumee, Ohio, one of the golf suppliers based in the United States listed here.

Shot data you get from the 3Trak launch monitor

Every aboutGOLF simulator reports ball speed, club speed, launch angle, backspin, sidespin, carry and total distance. The data comes from the company’s own 3Trak machine vision launch monitor, which captures a series of high-speed camera images at impact instead of using radar.

Courses, games and tools to run your simulator venue

You get more than 95 3D courses, including the Old Course at St Andrews, plus 23 driving range venues and dozens of games. If you run a commercial golf simulator business, the aG Clubhouse dashboard lets you manage players, rounds and session timers across several bays, and Clubhouse+ adds league play and tee time scheduling. The aG Locker app lets your players carry their stats between any aboutGOLF simulator. You can add aG Flix swing video, aG Balance Pro dual force plates, club fitting reports and the aG Multisport sensor for soccer, baseball, skee-ball and cornhole.

Installation, staff training and support you get

For a commercial layout, you get a dedicated designer to plan it, and the company’s own crew handles assembly, software setup and calibration, then trains your staff. aboutGOLF says its support technicians are US-based employees, available outside normal business hours, and that it monitors connected simulators remotely to correct calibration problems. You can also read the commercial golf simulator buying guide.

One price for hardware, software and supplies with SIMAAS

Its Sim As A Service (SIMAAS) program gives you one price for hardware, software, business tools, a named customer success manager, a technology loaner program and automatic replenishment of stance mats, hitting strips, marked balls, tees and screens. The company says it is not a financing offer.

Company background

According to its website, aboutGOLF was formed in 2002 out of Friendly Software, a golf game developer, and its simulators are designed and manufactured in the United States. The company says it moved to machine vision in 2006 and first showed 3Trak at the 2008 PGA Show.
