You get a contractor to build or renovate your golf course and install its irrigation, with field work the company says its own crews self-perform, if you are a course owner, private club, architect or superintendent. Landscapes Unlimited is a green space construction contractor based in Lincoln, Nebraska, in the United States.

Building and renovating your course

You can bring it in for a new championship course or targeted infrastructure improvements, and it works alongside owners, architects and superintendents. Under golf course construction, it lists grading, drainage, irrigation, shaping and turf establishment. As one of the renovation contractors listed here, it publishes these projects:

• Cullasaja Club, a multi-phase renovation covering new bunkers, tees and greens plus irrigation upgrades.
• North Ranch Country Club, where the Oaks and Valley courses received new greens, reworked bunkers, upgraded irrigation and new playing surfaces.
• Lost Rail Golf Club, a turnkey development in which the firm managed planning, design, permitting and construction of an 18-hole course, a short course, practice facilities, the clubhouse and support buildings.

Irrigation systems and controls for your course

You can get a partial upgrade or full system renewal, which the company says is planned around your ongoing golf course maintenance and operations. Its irrigation division installs HDPE and PVC piping, pump stations, valve assemblies and distribution networks, and sets up control platforms for scheduling and monitoring.

At La Quinta Country Club it fitted a Rain Bird Cirrus IC decoder system with 3,200 sprinklers, about 28,500 linear feet of HDPE mainline and 135,000 linear feet of HDPE lateral pipe. It also installed a complete 18-hole system with new mainlines, laterals, communications and controls at Baltusrol Golf Club, and renovated the irrigation at Tacoma Country & Golf Club in 2021.

Where it works and its partners

The company says it works on projects nationwide and internationally. Its website names the ASGCA, GCSAA, Irrigation Association, National Golf Course Owners Association, USGA and Sports Field Management Association among its affiliations. Specialty partners are M4, which collects construction data for owner dashboards, and Project Development Group, which leads projects from concept to opening.

Sports field and parks work

If you also run sports fields or parks, it takes on that work too. It has built natural and synthetic turf fields at Austin FC’s St. David’s Performance Center, rebuilt the TCU football practice field and carried out sod and regrading work at Daikin Park in Houston.

Background and comparing builders

The company says it has worked since 1976. If you are comparing builders, read our guide on choosing a golf course architect and builder. Other golf suppliers listed here include Reesink Turfcare, Redexim UK and SISIS.
