Choosing a robotic mower supplier for your golf course

The firms in this list sell autonomous mowers for golf courses and other large turf sites. Most also offer what keeps a robot working on your course, such as demonstrations, servicing plans, finance, or extra robots for line marking and range ball collection. Three are in the UK and two in the US, so you can start with the firms that cover your area, then compare the machines, prices and support each one publishes.

Specialist robot suppliers

Greenway Robotics in Preston, Lancashire, sells FJD and PUDU robotic mowers and robot line markers. You get published UK prices on most machines and can watch a mower working at St Michaels Airfield before you commit. On the RM21 Rough Ranger you can add a ball picker, dew brush and other attachments, so one machine covers several course jobs. GroundTech in West Dereham, Norfolk, supplies and installs Echo, Kress and Sunseeker commercial robots, GPS line markers and robotic range ball pickers. The company says its robots use up to 90% less energy than a standard mower and can run up to 24 hours a day.

Full-line turf equipment dealers

Reesink Turfcare, Toro's UK distributor, sells robotic mowers from the compact Turf Pro 200 to the RTK-guided Turf Pro 500 alongside a full golf fleet. In Texas, GLK Turf Solutions lists robotic mowers next to turf equipment sales and contract agronomic services, with a team that includes former golf course superintendents. MTE Equipment Solutions sells Husqvarna robotic mowers and says it is the world's top Husqvarna Robotics dealer.
