If your club in the United Kingdom wants a better driving range, practice ground or course layout without raising the capital first, Booth Golf & Leisure in Warrington will design, plan and build it, and says it can fund the early and mid stages. Booth Ventures set it up in 2021 to work for clubs, resorts and landowners across the UK, covering golf course construction and design from concept to finishing.
Practice facilities and course work you can commission
You can hire the company for driving range and practice facility construction, including long game areas, short game areas shaped to mirror on-course conditions, par 3 and pitch and putt courses, and course remodelling that runs from a single hole to a full redesign. How the zero up-front cost model helps your club
According to its website, the company pays for design, planning and early construction, and your club completes the project once the new facilities bring in more players and income. After a viability review it sends a detailed proposal at no risk to the club, and you then choose an EIGCA-accredited architect from the golf course architects it works with. It secures planning permission and environmental compliance, and where new landforms are needed it uses clean, laboratory-tested soils from local construction projects. Initial designs are typically ready within 90 days, while planning and approval can take up to 24 months in the worst case. Golf club projects it has delivered
At Manchester Golf Club, the company built a 300-yard driving range with TrackMan technology and a short game area, fixing drainage that had left the old range unusable in wet weather. It also widened the entrance, added a car park and funded that infrastructure itself. Architect Jonathan Gaunt designed the facility and C&C Golfscapes handled turf and greens. Other published projects include short and long game practice areas at Headingley Golf Club built with recovered soils, a new driving range and 3-hole short course at Selby Golf Club, and a range upgrade with a new short game area at Vicars Cross Golf Club.
Sustainability and leisure work
If your club needs environmental gains, it offers biodiversity net gain, habitat creation and water retention work, and says reusing local soils at Manchester cut landfill waste.
